Knowmore Strategic Plan: A Future of Justice and Healing
Since our establishment in 2013, Knowmore has stood alongside survivors, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights upheld. From our early work supporting individuals engaging with the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse to our national expansion, we have remained steadfast in our mission to provide legal, cultural, and emotional support to those who need it most.
Over the past decade, we have grown, learned, and adapted—deepening our understanding of survivors’ needs and the systemic barriers they face. We recognise that while progress has been made, significant challenges remain. Survivors continue to navigate an increasingly complex justice system, one that carries risks of exploitation and re-traumatisation. At Knowmore, we are committed to mitigating harm, driving systemic reform, and ensuring survivors receive the support and recognition they deserve.
This Strategic Plan is a roadmap for the future. It reflects our unwavering dedication to improving legal and financial pathways for survivors, strengthening protections against harm, and sharing our model of best practice across the sector. It also acknowledges the key challenges we must navigate, from economic uncertainty and the future of the National Redress Scheme to the evolving political landscape and the need to expand awareness of our services.
With this plan, we move beyond the status quo toward a future where survivors can heal, where their experiences shape meaningful reform, and where children are better protected from harm. Together, we will continue to listen, advocate, and act—ensuring that every story is heard.
