At knowmore, we understand that our people are our most valuable resource. The skills and dedication of these exceptional people are vital to how we support and deliver trauma informed and culturally safe services to survivors of child sexual abuse and the Stolen Generations.

The recent announcement of increased funding to build knowmore’s capacity for service delivery means we are looking for motivated people to join our team across multiple roles and offices. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of lawyers, social workers, financial counsellors and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement Advisors, our people provide a wraparound service that begins at our Intake Team and continues as survivors tell their stories and step through the process of considering their options. knowmore also has a strong focus on law reform and advocacy, working to improve laws and systems to better support all survivors. Our business support team also embraces this ethos and plays a vital role enabling and supporting the work of the organisation.

With a significant number of our clients being Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, we aim to provide a culturally safe workplace and service. We expect our people to have an understanding of First Nations peoples’ experiences and sensitivity towards injustices of the past and recognition of the work that is required to address these past injustices.

Recognising the impact of trauma on survivors and those working with and supporting them, the work is rewarding but also challenging. We provide a work environment that involves reflective practice, is supportive and trauma informed, providing the best possible environment for this demanding work.

Working at knowmore, you will have access to a range of benefits including:

  • Above award salary
  • Additional 0.5% superannuation on top of the guaranteed rate
  • 17.5% leave loading on annual leave
