Author: knowmore, Category: Royal Commission advocacy, Jurisdiction: National

In this video, Aunty Glendra Stubbs, knowmore’s Elder in Residence, and Amanda Whelan, knowmore’s Director of Client Services, share their reflections on the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse (the Royal Commission).

Aunty Glendra and Amanda talk about knowmore’s role and their work during the Royal Commission and share their thoughts about what encouraged so many victims and survivors of child sexual abuse to come forward.

5 years on from the end of the Royal Commission, Aunty Glendra and Amanda reflect on the Royal Commission’s impact and share their thoughts about the changes that have been most meaningful for survivors.

Aunty Glendra and Amanda also talk about the many things that still need to be done to help survivors of child sexual abuse get the healing and support they need.

This video was recorded as part of work being led by knowmore to acknowledge the 5th anniversary of the Royal Commission.
