Reflections from support services on the 5th anniversary of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse
Over the last two months, knowmore and other support services have been reflecting on the lasting impact of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse (the Royal Commission) and the survivors who came forward to share their experiences.
In the videos below, staff from knowmore, Beyond Brave – Bravehearts, Micah Projects and the Survivors & Mates Support Network (SAMSN) share their experiences supporting survivors to engage with the Royal Commission and reflect on what has changed for survivors in the 5 years since the Royal Commission ended. They also share their thoughts about what the priority areas for change need to be over the next 5 years.
