Research underway to improve communication about the National Redress Scheme

An independent social research company, Whereto, is conducting research to learn more about community awareness and understanding of the National Redress Scheme, and improve how the government communicates about the Scheme.

Survivors, their families and their supporters, as well as other members of the community, are all invited to take part in this research. There are two different ways people can get involved:

  • People affected by institutional child sexual abuse, including family members and supporters of survivors, are invited to register their interest in taking part in an individual or group discussion to help co-design a communication program for the National Redress Scheme. This opportunity has now ended.
  • All members of the community are invited to complete an online survey about their awareness and understanding of the National Redress Scheme. The survey does not ask about your personal experiences and will take about 15 minutes to complete. This survey is now closed.

Taking part in the research is your choice and you can change your mind at any time.
