knowmore can now provide legal advice and support for people who experienced child sexual abuse in non-institutional settings. This includes sexual abuse by a family member, friend or stranger that happened to a survivor before they turned 18.
We can also provide legal advice about redress and compensation options to survivors of child sexual abuse who are not eligible for the National Redress Scheme.
We have launched an update to our website with new information for survivors about issues such as grooming, child abuse images, defamation, publishing a survivor’s name and non-disclosure agreements.
Our service expansion follows the recent announcement of knowmore as the provider of free legal advice and financial counselling services for the Territories Stolen Generations Redress Scheme from 1 March 2022.
knowmore continues to provide independent legal advice, financial counselling and support about the National Redress Scheme.
